New restrictions introduced for citizens arriving in Uzbekistan
By the decision of the Special Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a new procedure and restrictions have been established to prevent the spread of a new strain of coronavirus infection “Omicron” into the territory of Uzbekistan.
Everyone arriving in Uzbekistan must have a certificate of a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus infection, submitted at least 72 hours before a visit to Uzbekistan.
In the absence of a negative PCR test result, those entering the country must pass an express test for coronavirus infection at airports, train stations and border checkpoints.
Arriving in Uzbekistan from Australia, Austria, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Denmark, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Egypt, subject to the above requirements, will be quarantined at home or in a hotel at their own expense for ten days.
