President Shavkat Mirziyoyev: The inimitable, unique scientific and spiritual legacy of our great ancestors should become a permanent program of action for us
TASHKENT, September 30. /“Dunyo” IA/. A festive event occasioned to October 1, the Teachers and Mentors Day, has been in progress at the International Congress Center in Tashkent, reports IA “Dunyo” correspondent.
As the press service of the President of Uzbekistan informs, it is indeed the first time in the history of independent Uzbekistan that this kind of celebration is attended by the head of state. This is indicative of the importance attached by Shavkat Mirziyoyev to issues of education and upbringing as a special priority area.
“Whatever success we make in life, every one of us always gratefully acknowledges your invaluable input into these achievements,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev told teachers and mentors gathered at the magnificent hall.
Indeed, the role of educators in nurturing personality can hardly be overestimated. Even in the current intricate conditions of the pandemic, selfless school teachers are actively continuing their work. Most schools have started a new academic year. The system Online School and distance learning have been established. Today, tutors can be said to work on two fronts.
This year, the holiday greetings of the President take the form of address. The head of our state has made an excursion into history and noted that in the 9th-12th centuries, the first Renaissance took place on our land, while the 15th century saw the second Renaissance.
“Like many representatives of the intelligentsia, I am haunted by the thought that our educator ancestors, the Jadids, could have given birth to the third Renaissance, in the twentieth century. We know they made the sacred wisdom “There is and cannot be any other way to salvation except knowledge” as their life credo, the President noted.
In accordance with a decree signed in connection with Teachers and Mentors Day, Abdullah Avloni, Mahmudkhoja Behbudi and Munavvarkori Abdurashidkhonov are posthumously awarded the Order “Buyukuri Khizmatlari Uchun”for their selfless service to the cause of freedom and the prosperous life of our people, a colossal contribution to the formation of the national education and upbringing system.
In his speech today, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that delivering the foundation for a new era of renewal in Uzbekistan, the third Renaissance, is referred to as the major goal.
“The inimitable, unique scientific and spiritual legacy of our great ancestors should become a permanent program of action for us,” the President insisted. “We must hold on to this immortal property and draw strength and inspiration from it. And in accordance with these ideals, it is essential to develop, first of all, the national education system.”
The festive event is attended by educators and mentors, scientists, members of parliament and government. The leading representatives of education and science in the regions participate remotely from studios in Karakalpakstan and provinces.
