President of Uzbekistan awarded Honorary Doctor and Professor titles by a leading university in Pakistan

As part of the first meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council, a ceremony was held to confer upon the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev the honorary titles of Doctor and Professor of the National University of Sciences and Technology of Pakistan.

The corresponding certificate was presented to the Head of our state by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The honorary title was awarded in recognition of the outstanding contribution of the Leader of Uzbekistan to socio-economic and educational reforms, the country’s sustainable modernization, the advancement of science and technology, as well as the strengthening of international cooperation and academic ties.

During the ceremony, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the university's leadership, and its academic community for the high honor, and noted the importance of further strengthening educational ties and the joint training of highly qualified specialists.

Founded in 1991, the National University of Sciences and Technology combines research and innovation activities, master's and doctoral training, and the promotion of applied research focused on the needs of industry and the economy.
